Our Story
The Walker Education and Research Foundation (WERF) was founded in 2018 by the Walker family in honour of Dr. Shawn Michael Walker and his father, Michael Peter Walker, two individuals who strongly believed in the power of learning for making the world a better place. Through social participation programs, education support, scholarships, and research promotion, WERF strives to support young Canadians by making education accessible and promoting ideas and innovations for a brighter tomorrow.
