Archaeology as Applied Learning Educational Program - COVID-19
Due to the increasing risks that travel poses to remote communities during the Covid-19 health crisis, we have postponed our plans for our camp programs in summer 2020. We will be monitoring the situation closely, and plan to resume our programs when the health crisis is resolved. We will post updates here should the situation change and our programs resume on time.

Our pilot camp program in Igloolik, Nunavut was a great success! We are happy to see our first initiative take off so well, thank you to all the children and parents who participated in the program, and to the Igloolik Hunters and Trappers Association, Inuit Heritage Trust, and the community, for support of our program.
Archaeology as Applied Learning Educational Program - Seeking Support for June 2019
As our first initiative, we are currently seeking funding and volunteers to aid in our pilot after-school archaeology program for high school students. The pilot program will take place summer 2019 in Igloolik, Nunavut. We hope to use archaeological activities as learning tools to support the core high school curriculum, as well as to foster cultural stewardship and interest in Nunavut's deeply rich cultural history.
We are also seeking support in this program through donations of old smartphones and tablets, which we will use to create virtual reality learning devices. These devices will allow us to walk students through archaeological sites and fieldwork processes.
